The Daddy Daughter express next stopped at Winklebury, home of the Hampshire FA and Basingstoke Town.
For the second game in a row, it was a new ground for Daddy as well as Miss - how exciting!
A nice, short trip up the M3 this time, not venturing anywhere near the M25 luckily.
Arrived early enough to park immediately outside the ground. A small car park and I can imagine problematic to park if you arrive much after 215pm on a Matchday, but no issues for us!

We entered the ground through a gate next to the turnstile and were greeted by a small 'tuck shop' style table and then a great smelling burger van.
There was a substantial menu on offer - including the much-talked about 'Stoke Stack'. I opted for a burger and cheesy chips, Miss with her portion of chips.
We headed around the ground and found an accessible toilet with ample floor space (sadly no baby changing facilities) and a small tea hatch opposite, so Daddy got a cappuccino, unusual but a nice surprise!
Sadly Miss had a pre-match explosion... we'll leave the details there - so a baby changing table would have been ideal rather than a cold concrete floor. As I say...let's leave the rest to your imaginations.
We took our position by the away bench in time for the game. However, getting there was a challenge. The sides of the pitch are incredibly narrow, single file, so if you have a pushchair, be warned. Not only do you 'hog' the path, you have to tip the pushchair on its side to get past the floodlights (unless you have a tiny pushchair!)
Then once we found our spot, there was nowhere to park the pushchair, so it meant access for everyone walking past us was incredibly tight - sorry not sorry 🤷♂️
As for the game, a superb performance and result in front of an excellent crowd, vociferous from both home and away supporters, a good derby played in a good spirit.
Winklebury has developed into a smart ground with ample seating, just missing a clubhouse/bar and the rarity that is a baby changing table in a non-league football ground.
Word of advice for pushchair users - watch the game from either end so you don't feel like an inconvenience!
