This Saturday saw a double-header for Miss and I - a first game watching Winchester City this pre-season, but before that, there was a lunchtime kick-off at Millers Park where Totton & Eling hosted their neighbours (literally next door), AFC Totton.

We had the same entrance issues as with our visit to AFC Totton last season - no parking! The small car park was full and the remaining spaces are used by a Car Wash. So we parked in Calmore Industrial Estate and walked through the footpath next to the ground, although the large gravel made access very challenging for a pushchair.

We got to Millers Park and access will easy, no steps, no turnstile, an open gate with a friendly volunteer sat at the game. £5 Entry, very reasonable considering Totton & Eling were hosting a team three leagues higher.

The ground is neat and tidy with several stands, a really well kept pitch, a burger bar and an outside bar with three draughts on tap, impressive. Even more so… a first this pre-season, Baby Changing Facilities! Fair play Totton & Eling 👏👏👏

The sun shone throughout the game and the game was well-contested in the heat, AFC Totton winning 3-0, but the hosts certainly fought hard and deserved more.

We bumped into devout Winchester City fan, Rob, at the game who was, the same as us, stopping off on the way to Bashley.

Miss found a football on the sidelines and that was her loving life - well the packet of Skips probably also contributed to that! Another new ground, and an impressive one at that! Totton & Eling you have excelled yourself with baby changing facilities! We will be back!
