So we hit the 100 club back in mid-March. Since then, there’s been trips to Hungerford Town, AFC Bournemouth and Winchester City twice. We’ve frequented all of those places recently so we didn’t blog it - but today was a lovely day out to Sandhurst - so here’s our lowdown.

It was warm day, after a morning in The Range and the garden at home, we set off up the M3.

Sandhurst is a short ish drive from Winchester, 40 minutes door-to-door and this is where Bracknell Town play their home games.

As per our previous two visits we parked in the park and walked across. However, on recent visits the weather wasn’t like today, so we stopped off in the cafe in the park for ice creams and also went to the park and sand pit, Miss was having a great time!

We arrived at the ground about 20 minutes before kick-off and went and had some snacks in the shade at the back of the stand. Before the game we walked around to the away dugout and said hi to Uncle Davo, Pete, Sean, Coler and Jo Jo. Miss was on great form and said hello and gave out high-fives and fist pumps all round 👊

We went in the stand behind the goal in the corner with the away fans, Miss clocked Sally who gave her some choc chocks, a toffee crisp this week 😋

We walked around the ground several times, with Miss saying hello to everybody and in the second-half, watched City’s incredible comeback behind the goal that Britton, Barron and Wright scored in.

Miss was particularly enthusiastic about seeing Simba on the pitch wearing the #10 shirt.

After the game all the players and staff came to the supporters giving high-fives, Miss loved it and even IK got a high-five this week whilst he was queuing up for his Bacon & Egg Bap (which wasn’t available!) Still he enjoyed his nuggets and cheesy chips 😂 Miss had chips herself, we queued 10 minutes as she was insistent on getting chips 🍟 five chips later, “Daddy finished” 🤦‍♂️

A superb and much-needed three points for City. It was Miss’ first away day and now our 2 1/2 year-old has been to Bottom Meadow three times, not bad eh?!?

Great ground and facilities. It ticks our boxes, not too far, ample parking, park etc. close by, decent food and drink and reasonably priced. The only snag for us is a lack of baby changing facilities - we use the floor of the accessible toilet. With all the changing of facilities under the new (old) Chairman, please add this in somewhere. Otherwise great club, play decent football, generate a good atmosphere and good facilities.

City end the day outside the drop zone with three to play… a tense few weeks ahead!
