It was another first just before Christmas as Daddy and Miss made the short journey to The Snows Stadium, home of AFC Totton. The Stags were at home to Winchester City.

The Snows Stadium is a nice new ground, very smart and the pitch is immaculate, aided by support from Southampton FC, whose ladies team use the ground also.

Parking is a challenge however. We arrived at 2pm, an hour before kick-off, but no parking available. We parked on the nearby Calmore Industrial Estate, but with a pushchair, the walk is a challenge, down a gravel path and through a gate that a pushchair doesn't actually fit through! Either that or it is a long walk around along a busy main road.

Entry with the pushchair meant going through the club shop and then into the bar, which was fairly tight. Then once we got outside, it is a narrow path around the ground. The is terracing all around the ground, but with a pathway, you find yourself blocking the entire pathway and others have to move to let you through.

We grabbed a burger and a brew before going to say hello to Uncle Mike and the team.

In the first half, we positioned ourselves next to the bench, perched on the fencing (in what used to be a hatched off area, but the markings have faded now - sorry Totton!)

Then in the second-half, we went behind the goal with the away supporters, but as previously mentioned we hogged the path for with the pushchair.

The game finished 1-1. A decent point on the road for City against a good side.

We didn't require any nappy changes as this was a short visit, and miss had a change in the car before the game. So can't comment on baby changing facilities.

It is a nice ground, but wider pathways would make it more user friendly for pushchairs.

Home within 30 minutes though - and a point on the road!
