The rain returned…but so did the goals 🤷♂️

Miss clocked it was a Saturday morning. When she woke up, she was asking for Cherry Bear 🍒🧸… Bournemouth were away to Leeds 🤦♂️ Then she asked for the cat… Woking were away too 😬

How about a Step Six non-league game 200 miles away from home… great idea 👍
Miss said she wanted to play “games” knowing she wouldn’t see Cherry Bear or the cat. We compromised with games first and then football.
Location chosen, games found half way en-route… Launceston via West Bay.
The journey down was totally clear from start to finish, so we had time for games, lunch, a sweet shop and the beach at West Bay before hitting the road again.

We arrived in Launceston about 30 minutes before kick-off. What a different it makes travelling west ‘out of season’. No traffic, no queues at petrol stations… but also no sunshine! Rain lashed across Dartmoor and the Cornish hills as we arrived 🤦♂️☔️
This was a new ground for Daddy as well as Miss… how exciting! There was ample parking at the ground, which was conveniently located right next to the A30. The turnstiles were cash only, but you could pay by card in the clubhouse (a clubhouse that had baby changing facilities 🎉🥳)
Inside the ground there was one decent sized stand along one side, which was pretty busy (nothing like a spot of rain to fill a stand!) and the giant wind turbine was a popular observation for Miss! The big wheel!

We sat in the stand during the second-half as the rain came down… it poured with goals as well this time around after two stalemates last weekend.
Liskeard won 5-0 and missed a penalty whilst there were two red cards as well, one for each team, in stoppage time bizarrely.

The journey home was equally as smooth as the journey down. An enjoyable day out at the games and football. We may venture slightly closer to home next week… maybe anyway 😂
