The London Geordies… with a Geordie

So if you hadn't noticed from my previous post, cars aren't my strong point. We've had electrical issues, oil and now an out of action car, they say things come in 3s.
Miss and I were determined (well I was!) to make a first trip to Hanwell Town. So I asked the Winchester City Chairman if he was travelling up to Hanwell and if so, would he be happy to accommodate the two of us. A yes and a yes proceeded (thanks Mr Chairman) so off we both went up to Perivale to see the Citizens against the London Geordies.
Miss slept for half of the car journey and then made it known for the other half that she wanted to get there already - luckily Mr Chairman, a parent himself, had been there and done that.
We arrived in West London and had a good look around before perching in the players tunnel away from a rain shower, whilst Miss had her lunch.

You wouldn't think it from the photo but the storm clouds quickly gathered and it was a case of run for cover to avoid another Hayes & Yeading episode.
Cuddles with Uncle Mike before the game, a pre-match tradition, as well as saying hello the Gaffer and Assistant, because we took our positions on the touchline for the first-half. The second-half was spent behind the goal but Miss was content as long as she could bang on the sponsor boards and have a good clap.
As for the ground, a nice set-up conveniently located by a major road into Central London.
The clubhouse is a big facility with plenty of room for Miss to roam. Whilst missing a baby change facility, there was a large accessible toilet, so plenty of floor space to whip out the portable changing mat once again.
The challenge was entry to the clubhouse, with access via steps. So we left the pushchair at the bottom of the steps and Miss was carried up to the clubhouse. That aside, there was a tea bar which was pitchside, it was just the toilets, bar and hot food that were up the steps.
Lovely staff and volunteers at Hanwell Town and an epic game of football that finished an incredible 4-4!
Lots to dissect after the game on the journey home, so Mr Chairman and I 'chewed the fat', whilst Miss had a doze before having her dinner when we got home.
A second trip to West London already complete, with more local trips to follow in the coming weeks.
