No pushchair, no problem

The dreaded day finally arrives, when you're sat in traffic on the M25 and realise s**ttttttttttt I forgot the pushchair 🤦♂️
It was a first trip to Hendon Football Club on Saturday 23rd March, a stones throw from Wembley Stadium, on the same day as England play Brazil at Wembley, of course!
Miss is now living a one-nap lifestyle, so luckily today's nap came between Fleet Services and Heathrow which broke the journey up. Otherwise, aside from the obligatory traffic between Heathrow and the M4 it was a smooth journey, even around Wembley Stadium.
Parking at Hendon Football Club is great, plenty of spaces immediately outside the turnstiles. Sadly for Daddy, a forgotten pushchair, forgotten coat and water bottle left in the car, not the best start to the afternoon!
It was Non-League Day and "Pay What You Want" day at Hendon FC, and this was reflected with the excellent crowd of over 550 👏
The stewards and volunteers at Hendon are lovely, friendly and welcoming. The turnstile operators were pleased to see us and kept Miss entertained and even tried to give Miss a giant hand, she politely declined, think the size of the hand freaked her out!
We found the toilets and great news, baby changing facilities! Not so great news, they were locked. So a quick nappy change on the floor in the men's cubicles and we ventured to the burger bar.
At that point it dawned on me, how do I eat whilst holding a little one... knowing Miss if I did have a burger, she'd grab most of it! However, we did invest in a bottle of water as Daddy had left madam's in the car. Wow our baby is grown up now, she can drink from an 'adult' bottle of water 🥹
We sat in the stand behind the goal whilst the players warmed up and Miss ate her lunch. We walked around the perimeter of the pitch, a slow process whilst our young lady is still learning to walk, but such an enjoyable experience.

Miss likes to watch the football these days, so the pushchair is more used for storage than a means of transport, but it was a great opportunity to get those steps in, Daddy did 4000 today, not much for an adult, but plenty for a one-year old!
The pitch is a 4G facility, with seats behind one goal and a terrace behind the other. Nice setting, with the arch of Wembley to one side and parks surrounding the rest of the ground.

As for the game, Hendon won 2-1, with Kinger scoring a late consolation goal for City.
Thanks to Sally for the customary chocolate bar, Miss had a Wispa this week.
Thanks to Phil for the takeaway cup after your tea to keep Miss entertained.
Guinness for Rob this week - Miss was somewhat disappointed.
