London Calling…

The latest Daddy Daughter jaunt took us to West London and to Harrow Borough FC.
For Daddy this was a second visit, after a 1-1 draw last season in sweltering hot conditions, with Silvano Obeng on target for City.
This time around it was a soggy pitch, but the rain just about held off on the day. Many other matches had been victims to waterlogged pitches, but for once, City were not a victim to the weather!
The journey up was smooth apart from a 10-minute delay on the M25 (standard) and thanks to the signage around Hillingdon, Daddy remembered to pay his £12.50 ULEZ Charge 🤦♂️
I like Harrow Borough's ground. The car park by the clubhouse is very tight, and then it is a narrow bumpy drive down behind the new stand before you find yourself in a big overflow car park behind the goal - be careful for potholes on the drive down behind the stand though!
A steward will greet you by the overflow parking and then you can head straight into the ground.
Both ends are open terraces, but at least they are slightly tiered. On one side by the benches, there is enclosed terracing and on the opposite side, part enclosed terracing a nice new stand.

Uncle Mike and the Gaffer were carrying out a pre-match crossbar when we arrived, much to Miss' amusement!
Sadly no chips for Miss today and also no burger for Daddy - the food outlet is cash only so be warned! Luckily Daddy was organised and packed a lunch box for Miss (Daddy saved his appetite for McDonalds when he got home - thanks Mummy!)
There was a large disabled toilet, but once again sadly no baby changing facilities.

As for the game, a 2-1 away win thanks Olly Balmer doing Olly Balmer things and scoring twice, although it should have been far more comfortable.
At half-time, Daddy and Gracie had a good catch up with Adam Bestwick on all things Winch and all things #cleansheetdirtynappies related before a good chit chat with City's celebrity fan, Rob Conway.
At the end of the game, the players and staff came over much to Miss' delight and she got cuddles and waves with the Gaffer, Uncle Mike, Kinger, Jordan Rose and lots of other players and staff.
Miss stayed awake all the way home, but a quick pit stop at Fleet Services was required after lots of dummies had been sent flying across the back seat of the car (as well as shoes and socks having been removed!)
All in all, a great day out. Nice ground, shame about cash only burger bar and no baby changing facilities. Remember, watch out for those potholes!
Nice people at Harrow Borough though and a good away win for City!
