Another game in the bank for Miss - a 1-1 draw at home to Dorchester Town.

We arrive at the Charters Community Stadium just after 2pm and Dave, as always, finds us a good spot to park as close as possible.

Walking in through the side gate, Miss knows where she is straight away, waving at Joe and Chris on her way in before we make a beeline for the burger bar. Miss waved at Margaret and gave her a beaming smile before we got her chips. Not interested in the chips today... why? Two words... Sally. Chocolate. Say no more.

Uncle Mike spots Miss during the warm up and comes over to give her a cuddle before heading back in. We make our way to our usual spot next to the home dugout. We park up the pushchair and practice some walking, cue the hysteria, a certain young lady wants to walk with the pushchair, so the pushchair is taken for a walk up and down the touch line. Luckily, and for once, the sun was shining and it was a beautiful mild day.

During the game, Miss was entertained by Benji (Coler's Dog) who we had lots of cuddles with, and banging on the home dugout. Tommy Wright - take note - if Miss bangs on the side of the dugout, banging back will start a game - which it absolutely did!

We were in the clubhouse running around when Dorchester took the lead, but found our spot again in the second-half and saw the visitors' red card, followed by Olly Balmer's sensational free-kick, Olly Balmer doing Olly Balmer things of course.

There were some unsavoury scenes towards the end of afternoon at the 'away end', with a fence coming down and a pitch invasion plus some abuse towards City legend, Ollie Griggs and his family, not what we go to football and certainly nothing Miss needs to see. But that said, an entertaining game of football and a good atmosphere most of the time.

Highlight of the afternoon, now that Miss likes to walk and stand on her own, she gets into more mischief than before. So it shouldn't have come as a shock that she wreaked havoc by the dugout - pinching Prycey's leg hair was a personal favourite (sorry not sorry 🤦‍♂️)

We also got to borrow Phil's hat! All in all a good afternoon, another point on the board and match #42 for our 17-month old!
