Back to Bracknell (well Sandhurst…)

Miss isn’t so little now, she can’t be beating in mind this is her second visit to an away ground already! Last time at Bracknell, Miss was still a baby…

This time round, she spent the majority of the game running around after a ball herself, or running back and forth behind the goal that Kinger scored in! ⚽️

We parked in the same spot as last time, the car park in the park and made the short journey across the grass to the entrances.
The friendly stewards opened the gate to let us through and we had a good wander around the ground before the game and Miss had her pre-match cuddle with Uncle Mike. Lovely to see Luke King watching on today, a City legend and former player.
We positioned ourself by the away bench (the longest benches I have ever seen!) for the first-half, and Miss was entertained by Luke and Andrew and their football throughout the first-half.

City played well but somehow found themselves 2-0 down at half-time. Kinger was on the scoresheet early in the second-half and despite a host of chances, we were unable to salvage a point and Bracknell grabbed a third from a controversial penalty to seal the points.
Miss enjoyed herself on a rare sunny Saturday and was treated to chocolate and a muffin from Sally today.
The facilities at Bracknell (Sandhurst) are good with lots of flat areas for pushchairs, although the food is a touch on the expensive side (noted Phil Elkin).
However, as mentioned last time, there are no baby changing facilities. The disabled toilet in the clubhouse was closed so we used the one behind the “fan zone” - a different term for a stand but there we go 🤷♂️ same outcome as last time unfortunately Bracknell - dirty nappy but a bum change on the floor 🤦♂️
A lovely spring day and a great game of football and a point for the visitors would have would have been a fair reflection but we move on. Next weekend, City played on the hallowed turf at the Charters Community Stadium for the final time before the pitch is dug up… Miss is already looking forward to a pitch invasion 👀
