A windy day at Walton & Hersham

It was another trip towards the capital for Miss, with an away day at Walton & Hersham.

A good journey up and we were greeted by a large car park on arrival, fresh tarmac, no gravels or potholes and it was flat - a pushchair drivers' dream.

The stewards very kindly opened up the gate for Miss and I to enter through. We arrived to a great smelling burger bar on the left and much to my delight, an accessible toilet with baby changing facilities, ideal! Not requiring steps unlike Salisbury, a real treat!

Miss got her obligatory portion of chips before the game and went over and said hello to Uncle Mike before we made our way round to the far side to position ourselves by the away bench for the match.

The match itself was close initially, but the hosts took control in the second-half and despite a late consolation goal for City, Walton & Hersham ran out 3-1 winners.

The highlight of the afternoon for Miss was meeting a group of Germans who were acting 'Citizens' for the day, as they had come over to England to see their friend and City super fan (as seen on TV), Rob Conway.

We missed the goings-on after the change as we visited the baby chance once again, but reading it when we got home, it was very disappointing to read the way that the City manager was treated.

A nice set-up with great facilities if you are attending a game with a youngster at Walton & Hersham - just a shame about the off-field antics.
