So in all honesty, I don’t remember the action in our little lady’s first game. I know it finished WCFC 1-2 Tiverton Town on a cold, wet Saturday afternoon in early November.

But it was an opportunity to ‘show off’ our baby to our friends and second family at the club.

She even got cuddles with the Gaffer in the clubhouse after the game.

So whilst this is a diary of our football stories, it is also a brief guide to the clubs we have been to and their baby facilities.

The Charters Community Stadium has an old clubhouse. There are no baby-changing facilities. There is entrance access through a gate next to the turnstiles. There are ramps into the clubhouse, but a nappy change is either on the portable changing mat on the disabled toilet floor, or hiding around the corner in the ‘boardroom’ area of the clubhouse. Not ‘ideal’, but you make it work!

Winchester City is a football club that truly is a family. When you go through the gate, you see the friendly stewards - Scott, Ronnie, Chris and others - who will all chat with you and all love to say hello to ‘Miss’.

We then usually venture over to the Burger Bar to see Sally, Gemma, Judy and Margaret before going up to see Wayne on the PA System.

That’s before you enter the clubhouse and see Ali, Hannah and the team behind the bar.

The club has a great set of Directors who will always say hello and ask after Miss and say hello to her too. That’s before you get on to the players, staff, Uncle Mike and the gaffer.

What a club.
